Doctor Aaron Heide was born and raised in the Seattle area. He went to the University of Washington for undergraduate and medical school. While receiving his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and his medical degree, he was an integral part of the UW research program in Multiple Sclerosis. This was followed by an Internship in Reno Nevada. Doctor Heide then went to Boston at Tufts University where he received his neurological training. He was then invited by his colleagues at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington Massachusetts to join them as a stroke fellow. During his fellowship, he received the high level of training in acute and chronic management of stroke that would allow him to be able to develop and direct a JCAHO certified Stroke center his first year in practice. Since returning to the Northern Nevada area, he has worked diligently with several hospitals to develop JCAHO certified Stroke centers where patients suffering from stroke symptoms can be confident that no matter where they present with their symptoms they can receive consistently high level and aggressive care that is required for good outcomes after stroke.
